Why do St Pierre products include Palm Oil?
In order to achieve the best texture in our products we occasionally need to use palm oil. We are a member of the Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and, whenever possible, we purchase Mass Balance or Segregated RSPO Palm Oil from sustainable sources, compliant with RSPO standards. If you would like more information on the RSPO and their standards, please visit www.rspo.org.
Is your packaging recyclable?
The type of plastic we use to package our products is mainly polypropylene, which is a common material used for packaging food. Unfortunately, although polypropylene is recyclable, the infrastructure is not currently available in the UK for it to be widely recycled. As a business we are concerned for the use of plastic and its effect on the environment, and are keen to move towards a greener, more sustainable packaging option.
