Chocolate And Orange Vanilla Tear & Share

Indulgent and oh so festive, this recipe for a chocolate orange St Pierre Brioche Tear and Share combines two classic Christmas flavours into one, easy to make dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 St Pierre Vanilla Brioche Tear & Share
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 40g butter
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 150g icing sugar
  • 3 tsp good quality orange extract
  • 3 satsumas or clementines, peeled

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate with the butter in a microwave or in a bowl over a pan of hot (not boiling) water then stir in the orange oil and cocoa powder. Beat in the icing sugar
  2. Slice the Chocolate Chip Brioche in half horizontally then spread the frosting over the bottom piece
  3. Cut most of the satsuma segments into 2 or 3 pieces (keeping a few whole for garnish) then arrange over the frosting
  4. Place on the top of the brioche and cut into squares. Decorate each square with a little orange flavoured chocolate if you like and garnish the plate with the rest of the satsuma segments
