Ingredients
  • 4 St Pierre Caramelised Onion Brioche Buns
  • 8 beef burger patties
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 40g rocket
  • 4 tbsp chive mayo
  • 80g gherkins, sliced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Method
  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a low to medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and golden. Set aside.
  2. Heat a frying pan or griddle over a high heat. Season the beef patties with salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook the patties for 2–3 minutes until crisp underneath, then flip each one over.
  4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and cook for another 1–2 minutes until melted and the burgers are cooked through.
  5. Lightly toast the St Pierre Caramelised Onion Brioche Buns under the grill or in a pan for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Spread the chive mayo over the base of each bun and top with rocket.
  7. Add two burger patties to each bun, then spoon over the caramelised onions and finish with sliced gherkins.
  8. Add the brioche bun lid and serve warm with fries or your favourite BBQ sides.
